Redein

Output one

The product that gets sold

Every food plant has two outputs. Most only sell one.

Redein buys the other one. We take surplus and side streams from bakeries, mills, processors and refineries and return them as food-grade functional ingredients.

Output two

The stream that leaves on an invoice

Rework dough, crust ends, misshapes
NL-BK-4471
Refining fractions, lecithin and gums
NL-OF-2208
Collagen-bearing protein streams
NL-PR-1350
Press cake, bran and husk fractions
NL-FV-0977

The overlooked output is the interesting one. It is the same material, produced on the same line, separated a few minutes later.

For producers

Your disposal line, repriced.

You are paying to remove material that never left the food chain. We assess it, contract it at a fixed price per tonne, and collect on a schedule you set. Where a cost line sat, a revenue line sits. You also get the documentation your own reporting obligations require, prepared per collection rather than reconstructed at year end.

For buyers

Specification first.

Every Redein ingredient ships with a certificate of analysis, allergen declaration and origin record traceable to the batch it came from. Published specifications, consistent lots, and volumes you can plan a year around. Upcycled origin, conventional performance.

Capabilities

Cereal and bakery fractions

Rusk flours, fine and coarse crumb, toasted fractions. For dough systems, coatings, binders and extrusion.

Protein fractions

Native and hydrolysed proteins, gelatines across a bloom range. For gelling, binding, texture and nutritional enrichment.

Emulsifiers and functional lipids

Recovered from oil and fat side streams. For emulsion stability, crumb softening and mouthfeel.

Carriers, fibres and bulking agents

Fibre-based carriers, flow aids and dry-blend bases. For powder handling, dosing accuracy and formulation cost.

How it works

  1. 01

    Assess

We sample the stream and evaluate volume, consistency, moisture, food status and how it is segregated at source.

  2. 02

    Contract

A fixed price per tonne, a defined collection frequency and a term. No spot brokering.

  3. 03

    Collect

Bulk, tote or tanker, on your schedule, in equipment matched to the material.

  4. 04

    Process

Drying, milling, separation, hydrolysis or fractionation, under FSSC 22000 and HACCP control.

  5. 05

    Supply

Delivered to specification, with full lot documentation.

  • FSSC 22000
  • HACCP
  • ISO 9001
  • Skal / EU Organic (in progress)
  • Lot-level traceability
